Individuals in North Devon are being offered the opportunity to complete free Data Skills Bootcamps funded by Devon County Council. The bootcamps will create a supply of ready-trained data experts sought after by employers.
The aim of the Level 4 Data Skills Bootcamps is to reskill candidates and then confirm them in a data-related job role, both filling a skills gap and providing social value in the form of socio-economic upward mobility.
Course content
Candidates on the bootcamps will learn about:
- Sorting and processing data using programming languages such as Python, SQL and Pandas
- Data visualisation and reporting in tools like Power BI and Tableau
- Drawing from and communicating key insights with data
- And more
Delivered by Cambridge Spark over eight weeks, the bootcamps offer a choice of schedule, each requiring 8-12 hours of study per week: one evening and weekends or daytime and weekends.
The bootcamps will start in mid-July and will be entirely remotely via Cambridge Sparks’ online platform.
