Ultimate Convenience Award

Ultimate Convenience Award 2026 | Business Action | North Devon Business Awards 2026

The award

The Business Action Ultimate Convenience Award recognises the importance of providing clean, practical and presentable toilet and washroom facilities in North Devon.

One of the fundamental measures of civilisation is the standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Toilets and washroom facilities are vital because they are needed and used by every individual, irrespective of background or identity.

Sadly, the quality and availability of publicly accessible toilets across the UK have dropped considerably in recent decades. It is important that we reverse it. Indeed, it is especially vital in North Devon as a major tourist destination.

Toilets are important in every community, not just publicly for visitors and residents, but also for customers of businesses and public organisations and for employees working within them.

North Devon is fortunate to be home to businesses that provide excellent toilets – a credit to the area – and the Ultimate Convenience Award aims to recognise these.

Any business or organisation providing toilet facilities for the public, customers and/or employees can enter or be nominated. Toilets can range from large facilities to a single cubicle – it is the quality, state of decor and cleanliness that matter.

Businesses can enter themselves or be nominated by others.
