What it is?
The Big Benefits for Small Businesses project is being delivered by Petroc and funded by the European Social Fund. It also has the collaborative support of Torridge District Council, North Devon Council and Devon County Council.
What are the objectives?
Our aims are to:
- Help small businesses in Torridge and North Devon to access fully funded training opportunities to allow their businesses to grow.
- Work collaboratively with businesses to encourage them to participate and support Petroc with its curriculum. For example, providing a talk to our learners, or working with us to ensure Petroc staff have up-to-date industry knowledge.
All businesses who work with us will be invited to attend an in-depth Training Needs Analysis where we can discuss any training needs your business has and design a course to suit you. We can also signpost you other courses we think may suit you.
What are the benefits to your business?
You can access fully funded training programs to support your business and help it grow or diversify into new areas. Training programs can be designed and delivered to support your business with a specific training need. We also work with independent businesses to deliver workshops on current trends, environmental awareness, and business support.
By supporting Petroc through involvement with our curriculum and our events, your business can showcase your business to a wider audience. You can tell our learners and other businesses about exciting developments you are going through, how you adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic, or what you have learned in the world of business that would benefit others.
By working with our learners, you can access potential future employees with more industry-relevant skills who are more effective in the workplace.
