@AppledoreBkFest stood out from a very strong crowd of entrants in this year’s Twitter Award.
The account promotes the nine-day Appledore Book Festival held every autumn.
The judges felt the account demonstrated real community interaction and even though the event takes place in a short period each year, it remained active before, during and after the event.
The judges noted the good use of photographs, images and videos and were impressed with the large number of replies, showing engagement with followers.
Overall, the judges felt the @AppledoreBkFest account to be a credit to the North Devon online community and a worthy winner.
