Business Action is an online business news web site and magazine focusing on businesses in North Devon and across the county
It was originally established as the print magazine for the NDBA, a monthly networking lunch group in North Devon. After a pause for several years, Business Action relaunched in 2016 as a general business news and information resource for the area.
Business Action is edited and published by Robert Zarywacz, who was technology writer for The Business Magazine in the Thames Valley in the 1990s and business editor of the North Devon Journal from 2009 to 2017.
Robert has interviewed dozens of chief executives and managing directors of businesses large and small, and takes a keen interest in technology, manufacturing and infrastructure. He is also interested in skills, having managed the media coverage of apprenticeship campaigns in North Devon which drove an increase in new apprenticeship starts to 15% above county, regional and national levels, as well as in small businesses.
Robert’s communications background includes corporate roles with British Airways and global law firm Baker & McKenzie.
Business Action aims to provide a free news service to ensure that businesses can access news that is relevant to them.
It also offers sponsored features and promotions for organisations wanting to increase coverage of their material.
Community and not-for-profit organisations, such as chambers of commerce, can promote business events for free on the events calendar with commercial businesses paying a flat-rate £10 & VAT fee for an events listing.
